Great to see this online and to know it’s digitized at the New York Public Library. Thanks for your work! Looks great. I’m the author of Politics as Usual by the way. My boyfriend said he read about DPN being online in Vice magazine. Great PR. Abraham / Avi.

I’d like to communicate with someone who was involved with this publication as I am trying to find the maker of certain posters I want to exhibit for a nonprofit, The Gerber/Hart Library and Archives.

The poster’s are pop-art influenced and range in size, but each has a bold declaration such as “A DAB’LL DO AIDS” or “AIDS YOU’RE SOAKING IN IT.” I have been led to believe that these may be connected to your periodical.

Please contact me by email, and I can send photos of the posters.

Thank you for your advisement.

I’m betting their loved ones would like to speak to them too. I believe publication ceased because they got too sick then died.

So delighted to stumble across this important archive this morning! As a fan, subscriber, and one-time contributor to DPN — who still has all of these safely tucked away in is own archive (um, somewhere) — I can’t tell you how terrific it is to have these magnificent, hilarious, smart, and important materials available in this format to share with the wider world. Many many thanks.

I have all 8 issues !!! some of them with the paper-seal . DPN was hilarious and smart and a great support , specially during tsome of the worst years of the plague.

I remember that when one of the editors passed away, I received a letter from DPN claiming that his ashes were mix with the ink used to print the letter…it took a lot of chutzpah to produce letters like that.
